SCA Barista Skills Foundation and Intro to Coffee Certification Bundle
Three Day Course
Schedule: 9am a to 4pm
Prerequisites: None
Knowdlege level: Begginer; no experience required
Three day class course where all the material required for SCA Intro to Coffee and SCA Barista Skills Certifications will be discussed.
The SCA Intro to Coffee certification is a mainly theoretical course that discusses coffee history, process, roasting, brewing to tasting. This course gives a general overview of coffee’s supply chain and how it affect the price, quality and cup profile. This half day course also includes coffee tasting exercises.
The Barista Skills Foundation course focuses on the key skills required for a barista, like how to set a grinder, make espresso and texture milk for espresso based drinks. This course allows one to gain an introductory understanding of the coffee itself and set a foundation from which to build practical skills for grinder calibration, milk technique and latte art, while implementing health and safety practices and customer service.
Barista Skills Foundation Practical and Two (2) Written Exam are required for students to receive certificate.

Upon completion of the course work, the student will take a practical examination at the class room and students will have 21 days to take the online SCA Intro to Coffee written exam and SCA Barista Skills Foundation Written Exam . After passing the exam, students will earn the SCA Intro to Coffee Certificate and SCA Barista Skills Fountation Certificate and points toward their diploma.
Once you have booked and your payment is confirmed, we will begin the process of preparing your class. Although we understand that there are situations beyond our control that may require you to reschedule or cancel your reservation, our refund and rescheduling policy reflects the costs incurred in preparing the scheduled class.
During the class we include lunch, snacks and refreshments.
Refund/ Cancelation Policy: Training fees are fully refundable if training is canceled at least 15 days prior to the start of the course. If the reservation is canceled between the 14 to 3 days pror to the course a 50% cancelation fee will be charged. No cancellation is available with less than 2 business days notice, however you can reschedule with the corresponding rescheduling fees.
Rescheduling Fees: No fee is applied if rescheduling is requested at least 7 days before the start of the course. A rescheduling fee of US $75 will apply if rescheduling is requested less than 7 days prior to the start of the course.
